Another OTT service planned:
TV4 and Cinedigm are partnering to launch a new OTT service, launching their first channel, later this year. That first stream will focus on kids and teens. An on-demand channel will also be made to feature Cinedigm's library of shows and movies.
Nixing upfront presentations:
Joining Discovery Communications, Crown Media (Hallmark channels) is deciding to not have an upfront presentation for advertisers. Instead, sales teams will meet with agencies and media buyers individually.
Cha-ching for ABC's Oscars presentation:
ABC has announced that it has sold all the spots for the upcoming Oscars telecast, at two million dollars for a 30 second spot. the 2014 telecast was seen by about 43 million viewers.
IFC renews series:
PORTLANDIA received a two season renewal from the cable network IFC.
TruTV grabs BILLY ON THE STREET:
Cable network TruTV will be the new home of BILLY ON THE STREET, with the fourth season to premiere later this year. The deal also calls for reruns of the series to air on sister network, TBS.
