Primetime Cable Ratings: February 15, 2015

THE WALKING DEAD was the #1 cable program of Sunday night, but it did take a big hit from the SNL 40th Anniversary event, on NBC. Drawing 12.3 million viewers and a 6.2 demo rating, DEAD was down 3.4 million viewers and 1.8 points (-22%) in the demo ratings, week-to-week. Now, with THE OSCARS coming this Sunday, will the numbers fall again, stay flat or rise?

TALKING DEAD returned to its regular post-TWD slot and drew 5.1 million viewers and a 2.5 rating in Adults 18-49, for the #3 spot on the chart. It was about a million viewers less than the NBA All-Star Game, but nearly even with the annually exhibition game.

That NBA game was down 1.5 million viewers and lost 21% in the demo, from last year's game. It too may have lost fans who decided to watch the SNL40 special.
