Preliminary Ratings: Friday 02/20/15

It was a three way battle for dominance, on Friday night, as NBC, CBS and ABC all competed for all, or part of the nightly crown. ABC edged NBC and CBS, in the A18-49 demo rating, grabbing an average of a 1.6 rating, to NBC's 1.5 and CBS' 1.4. Meanwhile, CBS dominated the total viewers number, grabbing 10 million viewers, to ABC's 7.1 million and NBC's 5.1 million.

For ABC, the anchor of the night, SHARK TANK posted a season best 2.2 rating in the A18-49 demographic. Compared to last week, CHARK TANK rose 22% in the demo, along with 700k more viewers. 20/20 saw similar growth, jumping 33% in the demo and 1.7 million more viewers.

NBC's rebroadcast of the SNL 40th Anniversary event, allowed the network to post some of the best numbers on the night, in quite a while, 16 months to be exact. Bringing in a 1.5 demo rating, across all three hours. It was the best nightly average since the GRIM and DRACULA season premieres, back in October, 2013.

Over on CBS, the three regular series combined for the best nightly average this sweeps period, a 1.4 average, along with BLUE BLOODS best A18-49 rating of the season, with a 1.5 rating. CBS had three of the four most watched programs and three of the ttop six shows in the A18-49 demographic.

FOX did its best to keep a head of the CW, but was no more than a very distant 4th place network.

CBS - 10.0 million viewers, 1.4 rating in A18-49

CW - 1.2 million viewers, 0.4 rating in A18-49

FOX - 2.2 million viewers, 0.7 rating in A18-49

NBC - 5.1 million viewers, 1.5 rating in A18-49
