SCORPION gets Prime time slot special:
CBA has announced that the freshman series SCORPION will air after the AFC Championship game, on Sunday, January 18th. The episode should get a lead in audience of over 50 million viewers.
New OTT service at $20 per month:
Dish has announced its low cost Sling streaming service. The line up will include ESPN and ESPN2, other Disney networks, Turner and Scripps networks, for $20 per month. However, this does NOT include broadcast networks. Of course, if you are cutting the cord, you know how to pick up free, broadcast stations. The service is schedule to become available by the end of the month.
Chris Carter series cancelled:
Amazon Studios has cancelled its order of the Chris Carter (X-FILES) series THE AFTER. No real details of the cancellation was given by Amazon.
Tops in the Twitter-verse:
DICK CLARK'S NEW YEAR'S ROCKIN EVE was the top program in the Twitter TV ratings, grabbing 4.7 million unique users. That was twice as many as the #2 program, WWE RAW.
