Primetime Cable Ratings: January 23, 2015

Another Friday night, another cable win for Discovery and its Alaskan TV shows. GOLD RUSH and ALASKAN BUSH PEOPLE were, again, the top two shows of the night, grabbing over an average of 4.2 million viewers between 9 and 11 p.m. That average is up about 400k, from last week, mainly because BUSH PEOPLE rose 600k, week-to-week.

The season premiere of Lifetime's BRING IT! did well, placing 6th on the night, drawing 1.8 million viewers. that is about 80% better than the series premiere, last March, but a little shy of being a series high in viewers.

TLC's new fashion series LOVE, LUST OR RUN had a decent premiere, placing in the back third of the list, collecting 1.5 million viewers for the first two episodes. For a TLC series, that is not bacd, considering that most TLC shows fail to make the top 15, on any consistent basis.
