Preliminary Ratings: Tuesday 01/27/15
The Tuesday before the February sweeps period begins, on Thursday, any program that was not either burn off or a mid-season series, was in repeats. With that much repeat programming, on all four networks, it helps CBS easily sweep the night, grabbing nearly three times the viewers as #2 ABC and 50% more in the demo than FOX.
The two NCIS series haul in the the most viewers, with each bringing in over 11 million viewers each. A new CSI (burn-off), on a special night, held on to all of the A18-49 ratings, it was delivered, even with total viewership dropping 11%. If CSI does come back for another season, getting off of Sunday nights may be key.
The CW was all original and tied NBC in both viewers and viewers, for a fourth place finish. Head to Head, NBC and the CW were both all original programming, so encores can't be the excuse for NBC's poor showing.
MASTERSHEF JUNIOR tied CSI for the best A18-49 rating, from an original program, with a 1.6 rating. it also tied the NCIS encore for the top spot, at 8 p.m.
ABC's lone new shoe, AGENT CARTER placed second in its time slot, grabbing a 1.3 demo rating, along with 4.6 million viewers.
