Final Broadcast Ratings: January 18, 2015

Sunday night was all CBS and the AFC Championship game. The Colts vs Patriots game collected 42.1 million viewers and a 13.9 rating in Adults 18-49. Compared to last year's NFC Championship, on FOX, the primetime conference title game was down 17.8 million viewers and off by 27% in the demo. When looking at the comparable game, two years ago, on CBS, the AFC Championship is still down 5.5 million viewers and 18% in the demo. Although the game was close in the first half, New England made it a blow out, early in the 3rd quarter, with viewers possibly tuning out by the 4th quarter. The score of the game ended at 45 - 7.

SCORPION did feel the affect of  slumping game, grabbing numbers not far off from its premiere, back in September. The ratings are also reasonably consistent with what FOX brought in last year for THE FOLLOWING (11.2 million 4.4 demo) and what HAWAII FIVE-O grabbed in 2013 (13.0 million, 3.5 demo).

Neither of the three other networks did Anything to compete against CBS. ABC was the biggest loser, airing an all original line up, finishing last in the A18-49 demographic. FOX was a distance second, with encores of the four comedies, plus a few minutes of post game, from the afternoon's NFC Championship game.
