Primetime Cable Ratings: November 30, 2014

THE WALKING DEAD closed out with a bang on Sunday night, with a mid-season finale record of 14.8 million viewers and a 7.6 rating in Adults 18-49. But, compared to the season premiere, the series is down 2.5 million viewers and a 1.1 rating in the demo. But, I am sure those viewers are made up in the L3 and L7 ratings, if/when they are reported. Look for our ratings review on the fall half of season five, soon.

BET did well with the SOUL TRAIN AWARDS, going head to head with THE WALKING DEAD. the music awards program hauled in 3.1 million viewers and a 1.3 demo rating. That is down over one million viewers and 19% in the demo, from last year's show.

Nickelodeon had its own awards show, the 2014 HALO AWARDS, which came in 8th place on the night. 2.43 million viewers, made up of mostly 2-17 year olds, was a good alternative program for kids and families, alike.
