Primetime Cable Ratings: December 3, 2014

AMERICAN HORROR STORY was back from a brief holiday absence, but the news was not good. The series pulled in a season low 3.3 million viewers and a 1.6 rating in Adults 18-49. The viewership total is the lowest since the season two finale, back in January 2013. But, I do expect the numbers to tick up the next couple of weeks, before the Christmas holiday.

PROPERTY BROTHERS AT HOME continues to do well, in its second week. The episode held onto 100% of the A18-49 ratings of a 0.6, and total viewership was only off by 9%. Given the increased competition of the night, with most shows back in originals, the numbers are really pretty good.

Stick a fork in it, That DUCK is done. DUCK DYNASTY could only muster an 8th place showing on the night drawing just 2.3 million viewers and a 0.8 demo rating. Like all big hits, the fall back to "average" numbers hits a little hard when you are that high up. Perhaps a little rest will do the series good. Give it a year between seasons, and not three within 15 months.
