Primetime Cable Ratings: December 19, 2014

Classic Christmas movies take up most of the top five of Friday night's cable chart. ELF, on ABC Family, was the more popular selection grabbing 3.5 million viewers (#2) and a 1.3 demo rating (#2). CHRISTMAS VACATION was not far behind, hauling in a 1.2 demo and three million viewers. The family oriented POLAR EXPRESS was a bit behind, in the #4 spot, with 2.8 million viewers and a just an 0.5 demo rating.

GOLD RUSH trumped all shows, grabbing both the #1 and #6 spots. Over the two hours, GOLD RUSH averaged 3.2 million viewers and a 0.9 demo rating. Closing out the night for Discovery was ALASKAN BUSH PEOPLE, getting 2.3 million viewers and the #5 spot.
