CW Weekly Ratings: December 15 - 29, 3024

The last full week before Christmas and the CW is loaded up on holiday specials, plus a season premiere and two winter finales.

HART OF DIXIE kicked off its short, fourth season, on Monday night, grabbing 1.2 million viewers and a 0.4 rating in Adults 18-49. That is up over last season's premiere, finale and season average. It is rather weak, compared to how THE ORIGINALS has performed in the slot, but anything positive, no matter how small, os good for the CW.

Following the HART OF DIXIE premiere was the winter finale of JANE THE VIRGIN. It pulled in 1.3 million viewers and a 0.5 demo rating. It is the first time this season the freshman drama rose over its lead in's ratings. It was on par with the previous week's numbers, despite the weaker lead in.

The Fall finale of THE 100 was a bit under the previous week's ratings, but it did have a weaker lead in with the HOLIDAY COMMERCIALS lead in.

The week's top show for the network was the iHEART RADIO JINGLE BALL special, doing about as well as an original episode of THE VAMPIRE DIARIES. The bottom show on the CW was the KUNG FU PANDA HOIDAY SPECIAL, drawing just 800k in total viewers and a 0.2 demo. It was the only CW program that failed to draw over one million viewers.

For the week, the CW averaged 1.44 million viewers and a 0.45 rating in Adults 18-49. Considering the lack of any of the networks big guns, and repeat holiday programming, the numbers are not that bad, for the CW.
