Primetime Cable Ratings: December 16, 2014
FOX News tops the Tuesday night cabe ratings, as THE O'REILLY FACTOR draws the most viewers, 2.9 million. The network also placed THE KELLY FILE in the #7 spot, with 2.3 million. But, both programs draw very little from the A18-49 demographic, scoring just a small 0.2 rating each.A Tuesday night edition of WWE SMACKDOWN finished 11th on the night, generating a little over two million viewers. That is about 20% less than the most recent Friday night airing. But, it did beat the NBA game on ESPN.
The stronger show in the A18-49 ratings were mostly reruns, with THE BIG BANG THEORY getting three of the top four numbers in the demographic.
Off the chart, night two of the SyFy miniseries ASCENSION dropped a half million viewers, from night one. Just 1.3 million viewers tuned in, less than the number of viewers that watched HGTV's new TINY HOUSE HUNTERS episode (1.4 million).
