Preliminary Ratings: Monday December 22, 2014
On CBS, MIKE & MOLLY was the only original program of the night and posted 8.5 million viewers and a 1.7 demo rating. A pretty decent number considering it was surrounded by encore programming. It's lead in, a repeat THE BIG BANG THEORY, helped push CBS to win the 8 p.m. hour in both viewers and in the young demographic.
Over on NBC, new comer, STATE OF AFFAIRS, pulled in the lowest numbers by an original program, on the night. Just five million viewers and a 1.1 demo rating tuned into the political drama. The episode LOST to a repeat episode of NCIS: LA, by 1.7 million viewers and only matching it in the demo. Say "Bye-Bye" to STATE OF AFFAIRS, come spring time.
The CW and FOX went head to head with encore programming and, oddly enough, the CW did better. The CW pulled a 0.5 demo rating to the 0.4 FOX managed.
