Final Broadcast Ratings: December 15, 2015
With THE VOICE entering its final week, NBC swept the Monday night ratings. The flag ship program generated 12.1 million viewers and a 2.8 demo rating. That is up about 1.3 million viewers and grew 12% in the demo ratings, but is a far cry from its best numbers, back in September and October.
I think it may be safe to call STATE OF AFFAIRS a flop. For the second straight week, it placed behind NCIS: LA, in both viewers and in the A18-49 ratings. If it was not for a great lead in, STATE OF AFFAIRS would look even worse, in the ratings.
The new AMERICAN COUNTRY COUNTDOWN AWARDS, on FOX, tanked. The awards program drew just 3.4 million viewers and a 0.9 demo rating, the smallest of any program, from the big four.
The CW had the HART OF DIXIE season premiere, generating 1.2 million viewers and a 0.4 demo rating. That is better than what the series averaged last season, but is down significantly from what THE ORIGINALS drew in the hour, this fall. There is much speculation that this may be the final season of the series, and based on the ratings over last season and this season, I would have to agree. it should be axed after its 10 episode run.
