CW Weekly Ratings: December 1 - 5, 2014

The CW had one of its best weeks of the 2014-15 season, thanks to a successful crossover event between THE FLASH and ARROW. Both series posted their best numbers since their series premieres, which goes back three years for ARROW. Between the two series, the CW averaged 4.1 million viewers and a 1.5 demo rating.

Benefiting from the increased audience, was THE 100. Following the pumped up ARROW, the sophomore series posted its best numbers of the season, but the retention was below 50%. THE 100 may not have to worry about getting cancelled, anytime soon, but if the retention levels don't improve, it could move from the great time slot, to a Friday night slot.

SUPERNATURAL didn't see any change in its ratings, despite THE FLASH having its second best numbers of the season. However, the 10 year old series has an established following, with few new fans coming on board.

For the week, the CW averaged 2.0 million viewers and a 0.7 rating in Adults 18-49. Despite lower than average numbers from multiple nights, the crossover event more than made up for the losses. Could the CW begin transforming itself from a female friendly network to a superhero network???
