 3001: THE FINAL ODYSSEY:
SyFy will make the miniseries 3001: THE FINAL ODYSSEY, the final chapter to the original film 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY. No details on length of the miniseries or a premiere date.

The second and third axes swing:
It took five weeks for the first show to be cancelled from the 2014-15 season. It took about 48 hours for the next TWO to follow. NBC has cancelled the two Thursday comedies, BAD JUDGE and A TO Z, after each posted series low ratings. Both series will end after they complete their initial 13 episode orders, but rarely does that actually happen.

The fourth cancellation:
Monday, FOX made ultra-low rated reality series UTOPIA, the fourth series to be cancelled this season.

Watch your Google video library on Roku:
Google has made it easier to watch your favorite movies and TV programs by releasing a Roku app. Titled Google Play, you can watch, rent and purchase new and classic title from the app, as well as anything in your Google video library.

TNT orders action drama:
AGENT X is the newest series ordered by TNT, when the network committed to 10 episodes for 2015. The series will star Jeff Hephner, Sharon Stone and Gerald McRaney.

COLBERT REPORT sets finale date:
Stephen Colbert announced on his show that THE COLBERT REPORT will end on December 18th, 2014. We still do not know when he will begin his run as host of THE LATE SHOW, but my bet is still sometime in February, 2015.
