Preliminary Ratings: Thursday 10/16/14

With its second to last Thursday night game of the season, CBS sweeps the night  as a close game between New England and the New York Jets draw 12.5 million viewers, in the preliminary ratings. This number should go dramatically up, once finals are released, later this evening.

ABC was an easy second place as the three dramas place second in each hour, behind the football game. SCANDAL and HTGAWM both post season lows and this is the widest margin SCANDAL has had over HTGAWM, so far.  GREY'S ANATOMY was falt, week-to-week.

FOX and NBC, far back in 3rd and 4th place, respectively, were both mostly flat from last week. BAD JUDGE did see losses in both viewership and demographics, but its losses were THE BIGGEST LOSERS gains.

The CW's numbers did jump up by 20-30 percent, especially with REIGN's. Either there was a sports preemption in a local market(s), or viewership decided to watch live, instead of time-shifted viewing.

CBS - 11.9 million viewers, 3.6 rating in A18-49

CW - 1.6 million viewers, 0.7 rating in A18-49

FOX - 5.1 million viewers, 1.2 rating in A18-49

NBC - 4.3 million viewers, 1.2 rating in A18-49
