Preliminary Ratings: Sunday 10/12/14
The Sunday night ratings took a major hit last night. Just about every series is down, with some loosing large chunks, from the previous week. I guess THE WALKING DEAD affected the night more than we expected.
The most notable drop was from ONCE UPON A TIME, which had been posting over nine million viewers and a mid-three in the A18-49 ratings. Last night the series lost about 1.5 million viewers and a -21% in the demo ratings. RESURRECTION and REVENGE each saw similar losses.
CBS was hit hardest at 8 p.m., where MADAM SECRETARY lost 19% in the demo and 700,000 viewers. The rest of the night was near their averages for a non-NFL doubleheader overrun evening.
SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL could, for the second straight week, posting a season worst ratings. The blow out Eagles vs Giants game grabbed just 16.6 million viewers, as the Eagles had an easy time beating the Giants.
FOX was pumped up, early, with the NFL overrun, but by the time FAMILY GUY hit the air, the surge of viewers were gone from the numbers. FAMILY GUY was down two tenths of a point, in the demo ratings, compared to last week's non-football influenced ratings.
