Live + 3 Day Released for Thursday 09/25/14
CBS may have won the first Thursday night, even after the Live+3 day ratings have been released, but it is ABC that looks like the network to beat for the entire 2014-15 season. All three dramas posted huge gains in the Live +3 Day ratings, including the new hit crime drama HOW TO GET A WAY WITH MURDER.
ABC averaged a 5.2 rating in Adults 18-49, for the night, and commanded an average total audience of 16.3 million viewers. That is not far off from what CBS got from the NFL blow-out game, from a live audience. HTGAWM jumped nearly two full ratings points in the A18-49 demo, and added six million viewers. That is the largest ever increase for L+3 ratings. Once Football is over, at the end of this month, ABC will dominate the night.
Over on NBC, the three day gain for PARENTHOOD was not too bad. An additional 2.2 million viewers were added on tot the total and the A18-49 ratings increased by 64%. It is still a distant 3rd place program, at 10 p.m., but the numbers are not too shabby, relatively speaking.
FOX has not released their Thursday night numbers, suggesting small gains after the third day of viewing. BONES should be close to the projected numbers, but has taken a decent size hit with GREY'S now in the same time slot.
