Netflix to premiere first original movie:
Netflix will premiere its first original movie in the late summer of 2015. The movie, COUCHING TIGER, HIDDEN DRAGON: THE GREEN LEGEND is a follow up to the Academy Awards winning 2000 film by Ang Lee.
FX renews low rated comedies:
The freshmen comedies YOU'RE THE WORST and MARRIED have both been renewed for a second season. Both orders are for 13 episodes, but YOU'RE THE WORST will move over to FXX.
ABC renews drama for a third season:
The summer drama MISTRESSES has been renewed for a third summer, by ABC
TBS picks up reality series:
THE SMITHS has received a six episode order from TBS, premiering in the spring 2015. The series will follow NBA legend Kenny Smith and his family.
FCC may redefine TV to include internet:
The government agency is looking to see if it should treat internet providers like it does cable and satellite providers. [LINK]
