Ratings Review: WIPEOUT (Season Seven)
WIPEOUT took to a new night for its seventh season and the ratings appear to have suffered from the move. But, then a gain, this is a seven year old program and it could be showing its age, ready to retire.
After seven seasons and 130 episodes, it could be time to retire Ballsy. The ratings were mediocre, at best, with some of the lowest numbers in the series history. It doesn't help that it is on a new night, a night that most summer viewers don't flock to, when the weather is nice.
For the season, WIPEOUT averaged 3.56 million viewers and a 1.0 rating in Adults 18-49. No official word on if there will be an 8th season, but it is an easy, cheap series to make, so I could see ABC giving another summer order to the franchise.
