Ratings Review: TAXI BROOKLYN (Season One)

Not many NBC series can draw over five million viewers, even in the fall. But, TAXI BROOKLYN, a French-US co-production did just that, during a summer run. Not bad, given the network. But will the success of NIGHT SHIFT over shaddow TAXI BROOKLYN's chance of renewal?

If TAXI BROOKLYN had not followed the successful first summer season run of NIGHT SHIFT, I would say it was almost a certainty for renewal. But, the numbers dropped from NIGHT SHIFT to TAXI BROOKLYN, in the same time slot. Later in the run, TAXI was competitive with CBS' EXTANT, tying or beating it one an occasion.

For the season, TAXI BROOKLYN averaged 5.0 million viewers and a 0.9 rating in Adults 18-49. It may be a long shot for a second season, but do not yet rule it out.
