Final Broadcast Ratings: September 2, 2014
CBS gave NBC a run for it's money, despite a night full of repeat programming, to BC's all-original line up. The two networks split the night, with NBC edging CBS in the A18-49 ratings, while CBS dominate the night in total viewers.
CBS repeated the NCIS: NEW ORLEANS backdoor pilot episodes of NCIS and posted it's best summer numbers, drawing 10.5 million viewers and a 1.4 demo rating, over the two hours. Both episodes beat everything on the night, except NBC's AMERICA'S GOT TALENT. Not a bad way to close out the summer run.
AMERICA'S GOT TALENT was the top show of the night, in the A18-49 demographic, posting its lowest demo rating of the season, with just a 1.8 score. As the season comes to a close and a champion is soon to be crowned, the ratings for TALENT have been getting lower and lower.
ABC was a distant third place, with its all original line up. THE STORY OF FROZEN special did a little better than EXTREME WEIGHT LOSS did in the 8 p.m. hour, collecting 4.9 million viewers. EXTREME WEIGHT LOSS moved to 9 p.m. and posted bad numbers, again. It was down 10% in the demo and nearly one million viewers, from it's last episodes, two weeks earlier.
