2014 Commercial Cost Survey: The CW

Adage has released the 2014 fall commercial cost survey, detailing the average cost of one network commercial spot for each of the shows from this season's fall schedule. Here is a look at the CW chart of advertising costs per spot.

The CW, once again, has the lowest commercial prices by a broadcast network. Half of the fall series charge under $30k per spot, while just two can get more than $50,000.

Surprisingly, THE FLASH is the #2 series of the network, getting more than established shows like ARROW and SUPERNATURAL. I would have expected the newest superhero series to right with or slightly below ARROW.

Most prices, for the returning shows, don't have any huge swings. THE VAMPIRE DIARIES moves up by less than $6,000, while TOP MODEL falls by that same number.

The cheapest night will be Friday nights, with a spot costing under $26k. The most expensive night is Tuesdays, with THE FLASH and SUPERNATURAL.

The Vampire Diaries $59,620 $55,100 $61,887
