The Wall Street journal is reporting that the NFL is asking artist to pay for the privilage of performing during the Super bowl Halftime show. Exactly how they payment would work is still being hammered out by the legue and the "pay to play" format would not take affect until the 2016 game.
TBS to run MOM:
In a special four week promotional run, TBS will air the first season episodes of the sitcom MOM, starting Monday, August 25th. The episodes will air at 7:30 p.m., with THE BIG BANG THEORY becoming the lead out program. CBS is giving MOM every chance possible to become the next hit for CBS.
A few freshmen renewals to mention:
Three cable series received renewals today. FIX renews THE STRAIN for a 13 episode, second season. MTV gives FINDING CARTER a second season, and RECTIFY gets a second season on Sundance TV.
Hulu renews series:
THE AWESOMES, from LATE NIGHT's Seth Meyers, has been given a third season order from Hulu.
Casting news:
AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. has cast Adrianne Palicki to play a superhero, early in the second season. CSI: NEW ORLEANS has cast Bow Wow as a profile hacker that is ordered to join the team.
