Ratings Review: BET ON YOUR BABY (Season Two)

I like that ABC is willing to program original content on Saturday nights. But, why do they wait until the summer months, instead of trying to program the winter and spring months?

BEST ON YOUR BABY, after two seasons, has yet to pull any thing coming close to decent ratings. This is mainly because it is scheduled on Friday nights, during the summer months. you know, those months that most Americans are either on vacation or are out late on the weekend, enjoying the great weather and free time.

ABC does not regularly schedule an original series on Saturdays, during the regular season, once College Football is done in December. Could BET ON YOUR BABY do decent numbers in February, March and/or April? Could they be any worse than what they are for June & July? I doubt it.

For the season BET ON YOUR BABY averaged 1.94 million viewers and a 0.4 rating in Adults 18-49. Who knows if ABC will try a third season, but it really does not matter if they are just going to waste it away on Saturday nights.
