Preliminary Ratings: Sunday 08/03/14

With the NFL kicking off its 'exhibition' season, NBC swept the ratings on Sunday night. The annual HALL OF FAME GAME drew 7.6 million viewers and a 2.5 rating in Adults 18-49, in the preliminary reports. These numbers could have a dramatic change, given the live nature of the telecast. The target number, come finals, is 10.4 million viewers and a 3.8 demo rating. That is what the game drew in 2013.

Taking a possible hit from the NFL game was BIG BROTHER. the 6.7 million viewers and a 1.9 demo rating is down three tenths of a ratings point, from last week's A18-49 ratings. But, CBS had it's own sports ratings issue with the PGA even bleeding into primetime and shifting shows start times by about 10 minutes.

A18-49 ratings for UNFORGETTABLE looks to have remained flat, week-to-week, but viewership down slightly a decent chunk. Viewership dropped 650,000, but that could/should change come finals.

The FOX comedies did relatively well on the night, despite them all being repeat episodes. They beat ABC's WIPEOUT and RISING STAR and CBS' UNFORGETTABLE, in the A18-49 numbers.

NBC - 6.7 million viewers, 2.2 rating in A18-49
