Final Broadcast Ratings: August 8, 2014

Once local NFL football coverage was factored out of Friday night's ratings, the network battle was much closer than originally shown, when preliminaries were released.

ABC, by far, was the dominate network of the night, but with NFL games out of the mix, there only just edged CBS in the A18-49 ratings, and fell and additional 700,000 viewers behind the eye network. All three of ABC's programs went from being above a 1.0 demo rating to all three finishing below a one.

NBC's DATELINE was the top show of the night in the A18-49 ratings, grabbing a one rating. Obviously, it was the only program of the night to reach the whole number.

MASTERS OF ILLUSION stayed above one million viewers for it's second episode, but the A18-49 rating dropped to a 0.2 rating.

Preliminary Network Averages:
ABC - 4.0 million viewers, 0.9 rating in A18-49
CBS - 4.9 million viewers, 0.7 rating in A18-49
CW - 1.1 million viewers, 0.4 rating in A18-49
FOX - 1.8 million viewers, 0.5 rating in A18-49
NBC - 3.4 million viewers, 0.8 rating in A18-49
