Ratings Review: SAINT GEORGE (Season One)

George Lopez returns to comedy televisionn whith his first sitcom since ABC's GEORGE LOPEZ (2002-07). With the success of that series in both first run and in syndication, on Nick at Nite, expextations were fairly high.

The series premiere showed a lot of promise for the series, getting 1.2 million viewers. Not bad when you consider the track record for cable sitcoms, it is a strong befinning. However,  the bottom dropped out quickly. Nearly a half a million viewers (-37%) failed to come back for the second episode.  The remaining 8 episodes stayed within that 700k range.

For the 10 episode season, SAINT GEORGE averaged just 750,000 viewers and a 0.3 rating in Adults 18-49. With a 10/90 series order, thw series did not meet the ratings minimum it needed for a back 90 order. FX officially cancelled the serues in late June.
