Ratings Review: 24 LIVE ANOTHER DAY (Summer 24)

The 24: LIVE ANOTHER DAY limited run series did OK for FOX. The ratings were nothing to brag about, but they were not horrible either. But. for a valued franchise that 24 is, for FOX< expectations were high for the 12 episode season.

The premiere got off to a great start, but I have to imagine that FOX was expecting viewership to be closer to 10 million and the A18-49 ratings above a 3.0. The LIVE+7 ratings for the premiere night is where the LIVE+SD numbers should have been.

As the season progressed, the series settled into about six million viewers and a mid-one in the A18-49 ratings. For 2014, a good number for a summer series. For FOX, a slight disappointment.

for the season, 24: LIVE ANOTHER DAY averaged 6.18 million viewers and a 1.7 rating in Adults 18-49. It will be interesting to see if FOX will bother to go another 12 episodes of 24, anytime in the near future. It is an expensive series and the numbers should be higher to justify the expense.
