Final Broadcast Ratings: June 29, 2014
CBS easily won the night in total viewers, but tied ABC for the A18-49 crown, thanks to three hours of new programming, which saw the Sunday Edition of BIG BROTHER pull in the largest A18-49 rating of the night.
BIG BROTHER brought in a 1.8 rating in Adults 18-49, for it's first Sunday night edition of the season. That is only down one tenth of a ratings point from last year's first Sunday night episode.
After BIG BROTHER, CBS gave us the steamy crime drama, RECKLESS. Just four million people tuned in to the new drama, but the 0.6 demo rating was last for the time slot. In fact, RECKLESS was the lowest rated program of the night, in the valued demographic ratings. We'll see how long CBS puts up with this performance before giving us THE GOOD WIFE repeats, again.
UNFORGETTABLE is back for it's summer run, and pulled in comparable numbers to it's spring run, earlier this year. It to was last in the A18-49 ratings, for it's time slot, but was more competitive than it's lead in. Perhaps a better lead in would help boost the ratings for UNFORGETTABLE.
NBC's defensive programming did not work a second week in a row. A special episode of LAST COMIC STANDING rated below ABC's RISING STAR, even though the new signing series dropped week-to-week.
