Preliminary Ratings: Monday 06/23/14

NBC and FOX split the leadership on Monday night. FOX, the only network with two programs over five million viewers, grabs the most viewers, while NBC, with the top show in the A18-49 ratings, takes the demographic crown.

AMERICAN NINJA WARRIOR, up 13% from last week, was the night's top program in the A18-49 ratings, with a 1.8 score. The two hour program edged out FOX's MASTERCHEF for the top spot, by one tenth of a ratings point. This is the best demo rating for ANW since June 2nd.

MASTERCHEF may have dropped in the demo ratings, but 24: LIVE ANOTHER DAY made up the lost, rising one tenth of a point, over last week. Otherwise, the nightly numbers for FOX are mostly the same as last week.

ABC had the most watched program of the night in THE BACHELORETTE, with 5.9 million viewers. However, it was no better than a tie for third in the demo ratings, with a 1.5 mark. The reality program was off in both categories by roughly 10% each.

Although it was just a catch up special on the series, UNDER THE DOME, on CBS, only did fractionally better than 48 HOURS had been pulling in the time slot, over the past month. The second series premiere of UNDER THE DOME is next Monday, June 30th.

And lastly, WHOSE LINE IS IT ANYWAY? is still relatively good for the CW. A strong 1.6 million viewers tuned in for two episodes of the improve comedy. It is the network's top program this summer.
