Preliminary Ratings: Monday 06/02/14
The calendar may say it is June, but it was a fairly competitive Monday night with the broadcast Networks. FOX takes the A18-49 ratings, while ABC hold the most viewers. but the more impressive stat is that of the 14 programs of the night, on the three, from the CW, failed to reach 1.0 demo rating.
The second premiere of the summer drama, MISTRESSES, drew 4.5 million viewers and a 1.2 rating in Adults 18-49. this is almost identical to the series premiere, a year earlier. However the drama tied CBS's 48 HOURS in the demo ratings, with a 1.2 rating, and both were behind AMERICAN NINJA WARRIOR.
Over on FOX, The rating perked up for both MASTERCHEF and 24 now that there is no holiday to contend with. Both series grew three tenths of a ratings point in the demo ratings. The two series helped FOX win the nightly demo crown with a 1.8 rating, topping NBC's 1.7 average for the night.
WHOSE LINE IS IT ANYWAY? started it's summer run with relatively great numbers. The original and encore episode combined for a 0.5 demo rating and 1.6 million viewers, which is far better than almost every other series that has aired on the night, during the regular season. However, BEAUTY & THE BEAST look to be returning to it's sub-par ratings, at 9 p.m.
AMERICAN NINJA WARRIOR was the #1 program of the night, in the A18-49 ratings, grabbing a 1.9 score. that is an increase of 27% in the category, over last week's season premiere.
