Final Broadcast Ratings: June 6, 2014
ABC swept Friday night in the ratings, thanks to it's double shot of news magazines. WHAT WOULD YOU DO posted it's best A18-49 rating of the season, with a 1.4 score, topping long time veteran newsmagazine DATEINE, on NBC. However, DATELINE did haul in 1.2 million more total viewers.
20/20 was the top program of the night, in the A18-49 ratings, scoring a 1.5 mark. That is equal to the combined A18-49 ratings of both NBC and CBS during the 10 p.m. hour. But, BLUE BLOODS was the most watched show of the evening, getting close to 6.7 million viewers to tune into a summer encore episodes.
CROSSBONES may have taken two years to get on the air, but it will be off the air very soon. the high seas drama was third in it's time slot, in total viewers and a distant second in the A18-49 ratings. It is too bad NBC did give the series a better chance, placing it behind of of the better reality shows, in a Monday - Thursday slot.
The CW and FOX battled it out for fourth place on the night, with FOX just barely edging The CW in the A18-49 numbers. 24 may be a strong Monday night performer, but the repeats do absolutely nothing. It tied a repeat of HEART OF DIXIE, on of the lowest rated shows on the CW. If a repeat of MASTERCHEF had not done as good as it did, The CW would have out performed the much older network.
