Sony to get in the IPTV business. TBS cancels late night talker. And, the new Dr. Who is set for premiere. Thus and more in today's TV News Roundup.
Sony to Launch IPTV Service:
All the details have not come out, but Sony is launching a streaming TV service that will allow live TV viewing with pause and resume capabilites. Multiple devices will be compatible, I clud I ng their PS4 and the iPad Testing of the service will begin later this year. Keep posted here as details come out.

48 HOURS Moving to New Time Slot:
With nothing else working on Monday nights, at 10 p.m., CBS is moving new episodes of the newsmagazine 48 HOURS to the time slot. The new episodes will begin this Monday, May 26th.

TBS Cancels Late Night Talker:
Late night talk show THE PETE HOLMES SHOW, which airs after CONAN, was canclled by TBS. The last show is June 19th.

DR. WHO Series 8 Premiere Set, Well, Kind Of:
The Dr. Who Twitter account tweeted an image that stated that "The New Doctor Land in August..." No exact date was released, but speculation is early to mid-August. The series/season will consist of 13 episodes.

To help entice new customers, Dish is now offering six months of free Netflix. But, Netflix is not being offered as a service from Dish.
