Ratings Review: NCIS: LA (Season Five)
NCIS: LA has completed five full season, all behind the parent series NCIS. But, NCIS: LA does have it's own loyal following that is consistently watching, even when spring comes around.
This is one series that seems to not be affected by the drop off of viewership in the spring time. The viewership and demo ratings numbers are pretty much at the same level in May as they were in October. This is not true for it's lead in, NCIS, which has the typical drop when the season changes.
DRV/LIVE+7 ratings are also consistent each week, as the series adds about 3-4 million viewers and around an extra ratings point in the A18-49 demographics. This give CBS a strong one-two punch from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m., every Tuesday night.
For the season, NCIS averaged 13.3 million viewers and a 2.1 rating in Adults 18-49, for it's 32 Tuesday airings, including eight repeats. Next season will be a real test for NCIS: LA, as it moves to Monday nights, at 10 p.m., to shore up that troubled spot. If it can keep above 10 million viewers and a over a 2.0 demo rating, all should be good with the series.
