Primetime Cable Ratings: May 5, 2014

It's been more than a half of a month since the NBA Playoffs began and Monday night is the first night of round two games. TNT averaged about 4.6 million viewers and a 1.9 demo rating for the doubleheader coverage, but the late game dominated the night with over 5.4 million viewers and a strong 2.3 rating in Adults 18-49. In comparison, TNT beat ABC, CBS and the CW in the important demographic ratings.

WWE RAW held it's own against the basketball games, averaging over 4.2 million viewers for the night. It will be a big loss for USA when RAW leaves the network, at the end of this summer. It will be tough to replace a program that draws this well, each and every week of the year.

The season finale of BATES MOTEL did about average ratings for the series. The numbers are almost identical to the ratings the second year series earned last week.
