Primetime Cable Ratings: March 6, 2014

History continues to roll on Thursday nights with the cable network taking four of the too seven spots, including three from the long running reality series PAWN STARS. For the night, History averaged 3.2 million viewers and a healthy 1.0 rating in Adults 18-49 for the three hours of primetime.

Outside of the top 10 were two comedy series premiers, one each from FX and USA. The higher ranking of the two was SIRENS, on USA. Thar sitcom drew 1.4 million viewers and a 0.5 demo rating. It premiered out of SUITS and lost 40% of the viewers and 37% of the demo. a second episode followed at 10:30 and just one million viewers stayed with it. Not a great sign for the new series.

On FX was the new sitcom from George Lopez, titled SAINT GEORGE. The comedy will follow the format of a 10/90 pick up. If these first 10 episodes do good enough, FX will pick up the series for another 90 episodes. If Thursday's ratings are any indication, that may not happen. The comedy collected just 1.2 million viewers and a 0.4 demo rating, during the 9 p.m. hour. I am sure FX will play this series cautiously after getting burned by Charlie Sheen's comedy ANGER MANAGEMENT.
