The Olympics may be over, but NBC continues to win, taking it's 19th day in row. The return of THE VOICE brought in 15.9 million viewers and a 4.7 rating in Adults 18-49. Compared to the fall premiere, back on September 23rd, THE VOICE is even in total viewers, but is off by 8% in the demographic ratings. Compared to last spring's premiere, which was March 25th, 2013, viewership is up by nearly one million viewers, but the demo is still off by one tenth of a ratings point.
THE BLACKLIST did return to it's old form, now that THE VOICE is back as it's lead in. The 11.2 million viewers and 3.1 demo rating is the best numbers for the series since the last time the two aired together, on December 2nd. compared to it's last original episode (01/27/14), THE BLACKLIST is up over 1.1 million viewers and 24% in the A18-49 ratings.
for CBS, only HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER pulled in ratings comparable to what it drew before the Olympics. The other three comedies are off by a half a ratings point each, in the demo ratings. INTELLIGENCE is back to it's usual low numbers, waiting to be cancelled. This night will be in real trouble on five weeks, once HIMYM finishes its run and the new comedy FRIENDS WITH BETTER LIVES slips into the block. Expect record lows ratings to be recorded by all series and by the network.
FOX and ABC also saw numbers decrease from pre-Olympic levels. THE BACHELOR and CASTLE were down 8% and 19%, respectively, in the A18-49 ratings. ALMOST HUMAN and THE FOLLOWING were each off by 16%.
