Ratings: Broadcast Finals for February 6, 2014

Starting a day earlier than in the past, the 2014 Winter Olympics, from Sochi, Russia have officially began and NBC's coverage has gotten off to a pretty good start.

NBC drew over 20 million viewers and a 6 rating in Adults 18-49, for the first events of the games. This is the first time the games kicked off on a Thursday, as previous Olympics begin on a Friday, along with the opening ceremonies. However, the first Thursday of the 2010 winter games drew over 24.7 million viewers, but that was the 7th day of the 16 day event.

 The 2010 games were held in Vancouver, Canada, which did allow LIVE primetime coverage of the games. Sochi, Russia is is nine hours ahead of the east coast, so nothing will be seen live, in primetime.

CBS and THE BIG BANG THEORY was down slightly from last week's ratings. 8% in viewers and just 4% in the A18-49 demographic ratings. THE BIG BANG THEORY did lose 1.5 million viewers, but remained even in the demo ratings.

CBS - 10.5 million viewers, 2.5 rating in Adults 18-49
CW - 1.9 million viewers, 0.8 rating in Adults 18-49
FOX - 7.7 million viewers, 2.1 rating in Adults 18-49
NBC - 20.0 million viewers, 6.0 rating in Adults 18-49
