CW Weekly Ratings: February 17 - 21, 2014

During the second full week of the Winter Olympics, the CW was still in hibernation mode, but it did let one of it's new shows out for a peak. STAR CROSSED premiere on Monday night to the best ratings the time slot has seen all season. Nearly 1.3 million viewers turned away from the Sochi games to see what the new series was all about. Another one million gave the series a sample the following night, despite a repeat episode of THE VAMPIRE DIARIES as the lead in.

As good as all of that is, the most watched show of the week were the two repeat episode of WHOSE LINE, on Friday night. The ratings rose near 50%, from the previous week, as viewers discovered the return of the series. WHOSE LINE begins new episodes on March 21st.

For the week, the CW averaged 920,000 viewers and a 0.3 rating in Adults 18-49. Now that the winter games are finally done, the network should be back in originals, for the most part, and the ratings should rebound back to normal levels.
