- NBC orders two pilots:
NBC orders pilots for the drama STATE OF AFFAIRS, starring Katherine Heigl, and one comedy, OLD SOUL (working title), from executive produce Amy Poehler.
- FOX comedies flip time slots:
Friday night FOX sitcoms RAISING HOPE and ENLISTED will flip time slots, starting Friday night, January 24. ENLISTED will now follow BONES at 9 p.m. and RAISING HOPE will close out the night, at 9:30 p.m. - Verizon to purchase pay TV service from Intel:
Verizon is reportedly sending just $200 million to purchase the Intel streaming pay TV service the latter company had been developing. Verizon hopes to make the content deals Intel couldn't
- Tambor & Arnett team up again:
Jeffrey Tambor will guest star in an upcoming episode of THE MILLERS, reuniting him with ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT co-star Will Arnett. - Big Balls are back!:
ABC has renewed the game show WIPEOUT for a seventh season
- THE TRANSPORTER the TV series:
TNT is picking up the US rights to the series, which will star Chris Vance in the title role, and will premiere this fall. - HBO axes two freshmen series:
HBO has cancelled both HELLO LADIES and FAMILY TREE. - FOX to create UTOPIA:
What may be the largest social experiment for television, FOX has ordered the reality series UTOPIA. Contestants will be placed in an isolated, undeveloped area for a year, and told to create a civilization. The series is based on a series from the Netherlands.
- WEIRD LONERS on FOX:
FOX has ordered six episodes of the new comedy WEIRD LONERS. No premiere date has been announced. - USA adds comedy to original lineup:
USA cable network has picked up the sitcom BENCHED, starring Eliza Coupe and Jay Harrington. No premiere date was announced. - FX adds to sitcoms:
FX Networks has ordered 10 episodes each of the comedies YOU'RE THE WORST and MARRIED.
