The End Has Come to SEAN SAVES THE WORLD

Deadline.com is reporting that NBC has shut down production and cancelled the sitcom SEAN SAVES THE WORLD, starring Sean Hayes.

The comedy originally had a commitment from NBC for 18 episodes, but only 14 episodes have been shot and 12 of those have aired. No word if the remaining two episode will be broadcasted.

In the meantime, NBC had already scheduled an SNL special for this Thursday, preempting the 9 p.m. comedies and PARENTHOOD. Olympic Winter Games coverage begins on Thursday, February 6th and lasts through February 23rd.

In case you are wondering why THE MICHAEL J FOX SHOW, which has very similar ratings, has not received a pink slip, the series got a firm 22 episode order before the season began.
