Ratings Review: SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL (2013)

It looks like SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL will be the #1 primetime series for the 2013-14 season, it's third consecutive season.

Of the nineteen primetime games NBC covered, 12 of them drew 20 million viewers, or more. The most watched game was the season finale with Dallas and Philadelphia battling for the final playoff spot.

Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos played in four games and all four are in the top 6 most watched games of the season and are four of the top five games in the A18-49 ratings.

Good ratings for SNF is really about getting great match us and having close games. The lowest rated game of the year featured a mediocre match up of Pittsburgh and Cincinnati. The next lowest featured one of the worst teams in the league, at the time, The Minnesota Vikings which were just 1-5 entering the game.

For the season's 19 telecasts, SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL averaged 21.43 million viewers and a 7.9 rating in Adults 18-49. For the 17 Sunday games, SNF averaged 21.2 million viewers and a 7.8 demo rating. Either set of numbers should be more than enough to secure the top of the Ratings mountain for the season.
