Primetime Cable Ratings: January 11, 2014

It was all CBS on Saturday night as the network had the primetime game of the NFL playoffs. 31.7 million viewers watched a close game, until the fourth quarter, as the New England patriots defeated the Indianapolis Colts, 43-22. Like all the games this post-season, the ratings are surging well above last year's games and posting the best numbers in quite a while.

NBC actually got some decent Saturday numbers for it's coverage of the US Figure Skating Championships, which determines TEAM USA for the upcoming Winter olympics in Sochi. 4.2 million viewers passed up watching the football game for figure skating.

FOX had a little bit of NFL overrun from it's early playoff game, which ended not long after the 8 p.m. hour started. The half hour block that was reported recorded over 14 million viewers still with the game, a game the Seahawks dominated through most of day. I could not find an accurate reporting of the A18-49 ratings for the game.
