Complete Nielsen Ratings: January 6 - 12, 2014
The full Nielsen rankings and ratings from #1 to #96:
To say that CBS dominated the week's programing is a vast understatement. It swept all reported categories for the week and had a margin of victory of between 50 to 100+ percent, over the #2 network. Of the top 20 programs of the week, CBS collected 17 of the spots, with FOX, NBC and ABC each grabbing one spot.
Football was by far, the dominate programming option of the week as both the Saturday primetime game and the late Sunday overrun game, on CBS, took the #2 and #1 spots, respectively. The Sunday Broncos vs Chargers game brought in over 41 million viewers and pumped up 60 MINUTES ratings to season highs. The FOX Saturday game, which had a small portion run over into primetime, ranked 9th on the week, with over 14 million viewers.
NBC was really the only other network to get any ratings traction on the week, but most of it's averages are influenced by the three hours of coverage from the GOLDEN GLOBE AWARDS. The annual Hollywood love-fest collected just under 21 million viewers and was the #3 program of the week.
FOX had a very tough time attracting viewers, outside of the NFL games. Only BONES (#28), a Friday night program, was the network's only other entry into the week's top 30 programs.
ABC did place six shows in the top 30, more than NBC and FOX, but it lacked the big gun. All six of the programs ranked 20th or lower, for the week. The struggle for ratings is show by the fact that ABC aired six hours of THE BACHELOR, representing 27% of the schedule.
The CW was non competitive with 90% of the line up in repeats. The network averaged just 790,000 viewers and a 0.3 rating in Adults 18-49.
