Ratings Review: NBC Mondays - November Sweeps
NBC finally has a true scripted hit on its had in THE BLACKLIST. It is the #1 new drama series. it wins it's time period in the A18-49 ratings, every week and is the most watched show on most late Monday nights. And, it is the #1 show in the 10 p.m. time slot, on any night. Which makes the preemption of the series in week three of the November sweeps that much more confusing.
NBC preempted THE BLACKLIST for three hours of THE VOICE. The first hour was a recap episode, while the final two hours were the regular 2 hour edition of the competition. The recap drew much lower numbers than THE BLACKLIST would have, hurting both the regular edition of THE VOICE and the night as a whole. NBC could have just waited until December to give the new drama a break, instead of during the sweeps period.
I will save my rant on THE VOICE for NBC Tuesdays review. Needless to say, THE VOICE has not been looking good in the ratings lately.
