Ratings Review: CBS Wednesdays - November Sweeps
CBS won the night during the November sweeps, taking three of the four days. Consistency is the expectation from the network and this combination does not disappoint.
SURVIVOR is showing it's age (13 years), but it is still a strong series in the ratings. it regularly gets between 9.5 and 10 million viewers each week and is a solid demographic performer, in the mid-two range. BLOD VS WATER has been a nice twist to the game, but I for one, would welcome a cycle with all completely new players in the game. It is time to rest the all-stars and returning players.
Not exactly sure why CRIMINAL MINDS started the season with such low numbers, other than the CMA AWARDS, on ABC, had more of an affect that usual. Either way, it is Wednesdays most watched series and is usually the #2 show in the A18-49 ratings.
If you have not watched CSI lately, but were a fan before William Peterson left the show, you owe it to yourself to check it out now. The show feels refreshed with Ted Danson and Elizabeth Shue at the helm. Based on the ratings, some fans seem to be rediscovering it and the ratings are slowly getting stronger.
Besides FOX, with a very depressed X-FACTOR, CBS was the only network to air original episodes of its regular line up, on the night before Thanksgiving. The numbers did have a significant drop, except CSI, but the network may have had the premium ad sales in preparation to stores opening Thanksgiving evening and on Black Friday.
