Ratings: Broadcast Finals for November 21, 2013
The CW tied NBC in the nightly A18-49 ratings average. For the night, both the CW and NBC averaged a 1.0 rating in the demographic numbers. The best NBC could do was slightly edge freshman series REIGN with its two new sitcoms. If the rumors turn out to be true about the NFL wanting a second game on Thursday nights, NBC should look very hard at acquiring that package, no matter the cost.
ABC's GREY'S ANATOMY is starting to look like a sinking ship. For the second straight week, the series posted one of it lowest numbers of the season, drawing just 8.6 million viewers and a 2.6 rating in Adults 18-49. Other than a couple of programming stunts for the series, ABC may find themselves behind the two CBS comedies, before to long. SCANDAL was also flat, week-to-week.
With solid performances from all of its series, CBS swept the night in the average network ratings. As a network CBS was up 8% from last week's averages.
FOX gave us a weak 3rd place effort as both series posted a 1.5 rating in the A18-49 demographic and drew 4.8 million viewers.
