Primetime Cable Ratings: November 24, 2013

The annual airing of the classic THE WIZARD OF OZ hit TBS Sunday night, placing 9th on a night filled with a big NFL game, The AMAs and THE WALKING DEAD. The movie drew just under 2.3 million viewers, over it's three hours. It is always good to see viewers tune in to the classics of Hollywood and not just consumed with the here and now of entertainment.

Usually a morning program, Disney's SOFIA THE FIRST makes a rare appearance on the primetime chart. it was the #2 program of the night, with just over 4.7 million viewers. second only to THE WALKING DEAD. But, when you combine Disney with princesses, you're going to get good numbers.

THE WALKING DEAD too a bit of a bow Sunday night. It is down 6% in viewers and 5% in the A18-49 ratings, from last week. The AMA's on ABC may have stolen a bit of the DEAD audience, but  it could also have been related to a second episode devoted to "The Governor" character, which some die-hard viewers are not to fond of, in the TV series.
